A Reservation System to End the Waiting Line
If you've organized a large public event, you know the tradeoffs: open the doors and let people line up, or try to manage reservations with a slurry of spreadsheets and phone calls.
For events that run in timed waves — such as walking tours, holiday experiences, or civic ceremonies — the traditional model means long lines and guests who show up early, only to stand around for hours.
An Alternative to "The Wait"
That's the problem our reservation system was built to solve for a long-running, multi-night community event that had relied on first-come, first-served admission for decades. Guests were waiting up to two hours in a crowded gym before their turn. The organizers needed a way to spread attendance out evenly across the night without adding staff or overselling any single time slot.
A simple reservation flow allows the guest to pick a slot, enter their name, cell number, and party size, then receive a one-time passcode by text to confirm and complete the booking. No account needed, and easy as that.
Overbooking protection is built in, and reservations are processed one at a time. So if multiple people try to grab the last spots in a slot simultaneously, the system safely rejects whichever request would push the slot over capacity.
The Result
Wait times dropped dramatically. What used to be a two-hour holding pattern became a steady, manageable stream of guests arriving right around their scheduled time. A better experience for attendees and a lot less to manage for the organizing team!
Walking tours, town hall sign ups, volunteer shifts, ticketed events, and more. Because it's built to be configured (rather than rebuilt) for each use, we're able to offer a tool like this as a hosted service (SaaS) so that organizations can get their own branded reservation system without needing setup support from event to event.
